Growing Little Women

It has been a pleasurable 8 week Bible study time with my oldest daughter, Tori this summer break. We have been using a study called Growing Little Women: Capturing Teachable Moments with Your Daughter (for younger girls) by Donna J. Miller and Christine Yount.

Thia book came to us as a recommendation from a Christian friend who described the same study for older girls as one of her favorite times of study with her daughter. We have found this to be true for us as well.

Each week we would have a special tea time as we dug into the Word together. Often there were questions that prompted us to share some of the deep places of our hearts with each other. As we grew in Christ we grew in our mother/daughter relationship.

Tori really seen God move in her life during this study. Often the weeks topic was something she was struggling with or a certain verse would just pop out at her and she would commit it to memory.

We also had lots of fun together. We decorated pillow cases, played twenty questions, and as a grand finally we had a "make your own hat' party and then wore them in a game of follow the leader. To a ten year old young lady this was pure bliss.

I'll never regret taking this special time with just her this summer.
